Isabella Kinch was born in Smithers, British Columbia and trained at Canada’s National Ballet School and Edmonton School of Ballet. She joined The National Ballet of Canada as an RBC Apprentice in 2022 and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2023 and was promoted to Second Soloist in 2025.
Most recently, Isabella debuted as Hermione in Christopher Wheeldon’s The Winter’s Tale and performed in the world premiere of Procession, choreographed by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber. Her repertoire includes the Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Elizabeth in Swan Lake, Kitty in Anna Karenina and roles in The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Onegin, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, MADDADDAM, The Four Seasons, Serenade, Suite en Blanc, Symphony in C, The Leaves Are Fading, Passion, Emma Bovary, Morpheus’ Dream, UtopiVerse and Reverence.
In 2021, Isabella was the recipient of the Peter Dwyer Award and Eric Bruhn Memorial Award.
