Oliver Yonick was born in Toronto, Ontario and trained at Canada’s National Ballet School. He joined The National Ballet of Canada as an RBC Apprentice in 2020 and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2023.
Most recently, Oliver debuted as an Icicle in The Nutcracker and performed in the world premiere of Procession, choreographed by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber. His repertoire includes Raj/The Caterpillar in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland as well as roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Onegin, Don Quixote, Anna Karenina, Cinderella, A Streetcar Named Desire, MADDADDAM, Diamonds, Suite en Blanc, The Leaves are Fading, Elite Syncopations, Concerto, Angels’ Atlas, Silent Screen, Emma Bovary, Passion and Reverence.
Oliver was awarded the Patron's Award of Merit in 2025, the RBC Emerging Artist Award in 2023 and the Peter Dwyer Award in 2020.
