Tene Ward was born in Sydney, Australia and trained at Canberra Festival Ballet School in Canberra, Australia, The Australian Ballet School and European School of Ballet in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Tene joined The National Ballet of Canada in 2018 as an RBC Apprentice and became a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2019.
Most recently, Tene made her debut in the world premiere of Marco Goecke’s Morpheus’ Dream. Her repertoire includes Spanish Dance in Swan Lake as well as roles in The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Don Quixote, Anna Karenina, Cinderella, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, A Streetcar Named Desire, MADDADDAM, Diamonds, Rubies, Serenade, Symphony in C, Concerto, The Dream, Suite en Blanc, Paquita, Rhapsody, Angels’ Atlas, The Four Seasons, Emma Bovary, Passion, The Collective Agreement, UtopiVerse, Crepuscular, Alleged Dances, The Dreamers Ever Leave You, On Solid Ground and Reverence.
