Biography
Andrei Streliaev has been with The National Ballet of Canada since 2010. As a piano soloist, he has appeared in such productions as Other Dances, The Seagull, Nijinsky, A Month in the Country, Allegro Brillante, The Four Temperaments, The Concert, A Streetcar Named Desire and has performed both on stage and with the orchestra in such venues as the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Mariinsky Theatre and Théâtre-des-Champs-Elysées.
His past engagements include solo and collaborative work at The Banff Centre, Boston Ballet, Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto, The Royal Academy of Dance and The Royal Canadian College of Organists, among others.
Currently, Andrei also works as an Associate Organist at St. Jude’s Anglican Church in Oakville and as a rehearsal accompanist for the Tafelmusik Chamber choir.
He is a graduate of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance) and the University of Toronto (Master of Musical and Doctor of Musical Arts in Organ Performance).
