Micro-Commissions

Overview

The National Ballet of Canada will commission choreographers to create small scale, flexible and innovative dance works that can be presented in a wide variety of contexts. The works will feature little or no production elements, focusing on connection and choreographic innovation through classical and contemporary ballet technique.

Each season, the company will commission three micro-works that will be curated by Alyssa Martin, Artistic Producer, Creative Action in consultation with Artistic Director Hope Muir.
