The Four Seasons /
Morpheus’ Dream /
The Leaves Are Fading

Artists of Het Nationale Ballet in The Four Seasons.

Welcome!

I’m thrilled to present another of David Dawson’s extraordinary ballets with The Four Seasons, his sublime response to Max Richter’s reimagining of Vivaldi’s music. After the success of Anima Animus in 2023, this new company work shares more of David’s expansive language, distinctive design and nuanced musicality, strengthening a creative partnership that will see us into the future.

Morpheus’ Dream is our first commission from Marco Goecke and follows our acquisition of his Spectre de la Rose in 2014. Finally, we return to The Leaves are Fading on the ballet’s 50th anniversary, a nod to the past that perfectly suits Antony Tudor’s subject in the passage of time.

Thank you so much for joining us.
