Pinocchio
Welcome!
Will Tuckett’s Pinocchio is part of a rich storytelling tradition at The National Ballet of Canada and brings Carlo Collodi’s 19th-century tale to life with a Canadian twist. Created for this company in 2017, the production blends theatre and dance in a coming-of-age story that has special appeal for young audiences. It’s a joy to bring families to ballet through the imaginative world that Will has created – thank you for being with us and enjoy the adventure!

Pinocchio is a Visual Feast
Designer Colin Richmond brings the whimsical world to Pinocchio to life with spectacular sets and costumes, paying homage to Canada with endearing references to lumberjacks, Mounties, beavers, raccoons and even a pair of Niagara Falls tourists.
