How to Secure a Match for Your Gift

Check with your company’s charitable giving or human resources department to see if there is a matching gift policy in place and what details you should know. Your employer may match contributions from current employees, board members and directors, spouses and even retired employees. Ask about policies and guidelines, how to submit a request, the time period for matching a donation and a maximum dollar amount.
