The Endowment Foundation is currently valued at over $100 million, and provides dedicated, long-term financial support to the National Ballet from its annual investment income. This financial security gives confidence to the National Ballet's leadership to plan and pursue ambitious artistic goals today and into the future.

Your Fund – Your Legacy

Establishing a fund in the Endowment Foundation is a special way to honour your legacy with the National Ballet or celebrate the memory of a loved one in perpetuity.

To set up your fund, a tax-deductible donation can be made through a gift or combination of gifts of your choice – a gift of securities, a multi-year pledge or a legacy gift.

    Fast Facts

    • The Endowment Incentives component of Canadian Heritage’s Canada Cultural Investment Fund matches gifts made to the Endowment Foundation to promote the financial stability of arts organizations through invested assets.
    • In 1999, Paul and Adelle Deacon made an inaugural gift of $100,000 to establish The National Ballet of Canada, Endowment Foundation.
    • There are currently 78 funds in the Endowment Foundation named in honour of celebrated champions of the National Ballet. Their names and legacies will be recognized in perpetuity alongside the National Ballet, and their love for the company will live on forever.
