Share the Magic

Audience member at The Nutcracker

A Gift of Joy to Children this Holiday Season

On December 5, we hosted 1,600 children and family members at special performance of The Nutcracker. Our annual Share the Magic initiative was made possible through the generosity of donors. Thank you to everyone who made a special gift to spread some holiday cheer.

Our Share the Magic evening is always a highlight of our year, a sentiment shared equally among our artists and staff. The children in the audience are excited to see their first ballet and their joy and wonder fill the theatre. Their laughter fills our hearts and we're grateful that we could provide an opportunity for a little magic in their lives.

Our Gift to the Community

Since Share the Magic’s inception in 1986, we have provided complimentary tickets to 113,000 children and family members from our community. The National Ballet of Canada partners with various organizations and social service agencies across Toronto to invite children to enjoy our favourite holiday tradition.

We are still accepting donations to the Share the Magic Fund throughout this festive season.
