Join us 45 minutes before the performance in the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre for Ballet Talks! These intimate and interesting conversations with artists will enhance your ballet experience and give you unique insight to the performance you are about to see. Each talk features a host and a National Ballet dancer or artist involved in the production.
Your Hosts for the Summer Season
Dana Glassman
Dana Glassman is a Toronto-based journalist. For the past 25 years, she has written and produced stories for several Canadian media outlets including the CBC, TVO and Bravo. From 2009 to 2015, Dana was the dance critic for The National Post. In the early 2000s, she was a producer on the CBC Newsworld shows, On the Arts, Hot Type, >play & The Scene. Dana has also written feature dance articles for Dance Magazine and Pointe. A former dancer, Dana is a graduate of The Quinte Ballet School.
John Hart
Born and raised in Toronto, John Hart has always had a great appreciation for the arts. He studied Drama and Literature, earning a B.A. from Queen’s University and a M.A. from University of Toronto. Working in Development Communications at The National Ballet of Canada since 2001, he has gained a deep passion for dance, its artists and its ability to inspire.
Caroline Shaheed
Caroline Shaheed is a Toronto-based communications expert and former lifestyle journalist. She currently spends her days leading social strategy and content at Indigo Books & Music where she has the privilege of interviewing authors and public figures, including American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer and author Misty Copeland. Caroline previously worked with the National Ballet’s Communications team and has rarely missed an opening night since.
