In addition to his partnership with John Cranko, Rose collaborated with other prominent choreographers such as John Neumeier and Celia Franca. He also designed extensively for the opera and theatre, and won a German film Gold Award in 1963 for designing the film Das schwarz-weiß-rote Himmelbett.
