- Monika was born in Las Vegas and is the eldest daughter of two Cirque du Soleil acrobats who helped inspire her love for the stage. She gave her first performance at age six in Nevada Ballet Theatre’s presentation of The Nutcracker.

Full Biography
Monika Haczkiewicz was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and trained at Nevada Ballet Theatre, Kwak Ballet Academy, Tara Foy’s Elite Ballet and Nevada School of Dance in Las Vegas, Nevada and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Monika danced with Atlanta Ballet before joining The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2019.
Most recently, Monika danced in the Canadian premieres of David Dawson’s Anima Animus and Alonzo King’s The Collective Agreement. Monika’s repertoire with the National Ballet includes Petal in Cinderella and Lady Montague in Romeo and Juliet, as well as roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Angels’ Atlas, Serenade, Symphony in C, Elite Syncopations and Concerto.
In 2015, Monika competed in the Youth America Grand Prix where she ranked second place in the senior division in the Las Vegas Semi-Finals.
